The Mayflower connection

According to a lineage provided by Diane Murach, there is Pilgrim blood flowing in our veins.

William and Susanna White had boarded the Mayflower with their young son Resolved. Before the end of November, 1620, while the Mayflower was anchored in Provincetown Harbor, Susanna gave birth to a second boy, whom they named Peregrine. "Peregrine" comes from the Latin meaning "to journey abroad," which is the origin of the French word "pelerin," which means "pilgrim."

Peregrine White was the first child born to the Pilgrims in the New World. He turned out to be a something of a wild child - he and his wife, Sarah Bassett, were fined for "fornication before marriage." You can read about him here.

Peregrine and Sarah had seven kids, including a son named Johnathan White.

Their daughter, Esther Corey, married Capt. Ebenezer Slocum.
Their daughter, Nancy Slocum, married Marcus Palmer Sr.
Their son, Charles Palmer, married Mary Slip.
Their daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" Palmer, married Samuel Walton
Their daughter, Susan Elizabeth Walton, married Henry Smith
Their son, Burtt Russell Smith, married Lois Spencer
Burtt and Lois had four children, Russell, Roger, Linda and Jerry
